Subsidizing the iPhone Part 2
A short while ago, I thought about what it costs Apple to make its iPhone. I only thought about the cost for the material and not for additional pieces like design or marketing expenses.
My guess was in the neighborhood of $180. It looks like iSupply.com agrees with this estimate. Of course, their method to calculate the cost of the Bill of Materials is much more accurate than mine.
